Join the Homeschool Chess Champions Club, where students from PreK to 12th grade are introduced and allowed to sharpen their chess skills and ignite their love for strategy! Through engaging mini-lessons, friendly matches, exciting tournaments, and creative chess challenges, players will deepen their understanding of the game while honing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. We’ll explore the fascinating history of chess, master key terms and tactics, and study popular openings and defenses—tailored to all ages and abilities. Our club thrives on a fun, competitive spirit, balanced with respect, integrity, and good sportsmanship. Students will learn to win with humility and lose with grace—essential skills with so much chess action! To join, students don't need a basic grasp of the game as all skill levels—beginner to advanced—are welcome. The more they play, the stronger they grow, and with a diverse group of players, they’ll gain invaluable experience facing unique styles and strategies.

Required Materials: Chess mats and pieces are provided. Students may bring their own chess boards but are responsible for having all the pieces together and getting them home.

** All classes require online family registration and enrollment. Year-long classes carry a $50 yearly enrollment fee. This enrolls your student in the class for the entire year. There is no need to re-enroll for 2nd semester. The cost of the class is due no later than the first day of each semester in an envelope labeled with your student's name & the class name with cash or a check made out to the teacher. Registration and Enrollment Fees are non-refundable.
