In this class, we’ll explore how our brains grow and change while learning how to build strong character. We’ll discover how being kind, brave, fair, and wise helps us make good choices and build great friendships.
Our brains grow the most from the time we are born until we are about 24 years old. But guess what? They never stop growing! That means we can always keep learning how to be better people—no matter our age.
We’ll learn about four important virtues—prudence (making good choices), justice (treating others fairly), fortitude (being brave and strong), and temperance (having self-control). These virtues help us understand how to be the best version of ourselves. We’ll also look at what scientists and experts have discovered about how our brains work and how we learn and grow.
Along the way, we’ll practice skills that help us understand our own feelings, make good decisions, and build strong relationships. Through fun activities like role-playing, discussions, stories, prayer, and games, we’ll learn how to use these skills in our everyday lives.
Nobody is perfect, and growing up can be tough! But by learning how our hearts and minds work together, we can become wiser, kinder, and stronger—just as God calls us to be.
Let’s take this journey together, one virtuous step at a time!
