Gameschooling & Rookies’ Chess Club (Waynedale 11:15 AM) 5th-8th $200

Year long ($50 enrollment fee), 1st semester IS a prerequisite to 2nd semester and a student CANNOT jump in mid-year

A class experience on critical thinking, teamwork, personal growth, directional challenges, and communal fun - we will be utilizing board games for learning important mental skills alongside learning and practicing the fundamentals of chess together.

Not Graded: Participation

* We will track number of games won in Chess

* We will also award students for personal growth

* Teaching methods will include lecture, video, games, communal play of class team vs cpu opponent, communal play of games and chess against one another, and will not include testing.

* Games still to be decided based on availability

* We will also be strongly practicing gracious winning, gracious losing, and how to respectfully treat opponents in competitions.

** All classes require online family registration and enrollment. Year-long classes carry a $50 yearly enrollment fee. This enrolls your student in the class for the entire year. There is no need to re-enroll for 2nd semester. The cost listed in the title of the class is per year and can be divided into 2 semester payments due no later than the first day of each semester. This can be done here online or send in an envelope labeled with your student's name & the class name with cash or a check made out to Homeschool Life Adventures the first day of each semester. Registration and Enrollment Fees are non-refundable.
