Year long ($50 enrollment fee)

This hands-on homeschool program is designed to introduce young learners to the exciting world of building and engineering. Through interactive activities, children will develop fine motor skills, creativity, problem-solving abilities, and an early understanding of engineering concepts—all while having fun with LEGOs.

Each class follows a structured yet flexible format that encourages curiosity and collaboration. The session includes a concept introduction, where an age-appropriate engineering principle is introduced using simple vocabulary such as “strong,” “tall,” “support,” “connect,” “hinge,” and “gear.” Real-world examples, pictures, or short videos help bring these ideas to life.

Next, children participate in a guided build challenge, working individually or in small groups to complete a specific task. Challenges may include building a bridge that can support a small toy car, designing the tallest stable tower, constructing a ramp to test how different designs affect speed, or creating a simple moving structure with wheels or hinges. Following the challenge, kids share their creations during show & tell, explaining their designs, discussing what worked well, and brainstorming possible improvements. The session may conclude with a period of free build and exploration, allowing children to apply what they’ve learned in their own creative way.

Throughout the class, children develop fine motor skills, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and STEM vocabulary, all while fostering creativity and teamwork. By blending structured learning with open-ended play, this class nurtures a love for building and early engineering concepts in a fun and engaging environment.
