Once upon a time, there was a magical story inside your child's head that was desperately trying to come out. Let's bring that story to life through art and fun activities.
When children tell stories, it exercises their creativity, as well as, it develops their language and communication skills. They can learn to make connections, understand and interact with the world around them, and discover morals, lessons, and how to solve problems. In this class, your children will create art projects, crafts, and other activities that will help inspire and encourage the stories inside of them. We will be using different types of materials; anywhere from drawing or painting to using things found around the house or in nature. Their visionary play will prompt memorable stories that their family and class will love to hear. I will try to keep track of the ideas and stories the children come up with, and near the end of the year I am hoping for each child to have their own beautiful, imaginative storybook written and illustrated by themselves. I may occasionally ask for different materials to be brought in and used for class, but it'll be mostly things you can find around the house or outside.

Required Materials: To help your children get the full experience of story creating, I want to encourage them to have their own drawing journal that they will, not only, bring to class with them, but hopefully take them where ever inspiration hits them. It doesn't have to be anything big either. I have a link to an example below. If you have any questions or trouble finding anything like this please let me know.

** All classes require online family registration and enrollment. Year-long classes carry a $50 yearly enrollment fee. This enrolls your student in the class for the entire year. There is no need to re-enroll for 2nd semester. The cost listed in the title of the class is per semester and is due no later than the first day of each semester in an envelope labeled with your student's name & the class name with cash or a check made out to the teacher. Registration and Enrollment Fees are non-refundable.
